Create a Fireplace for the Holidays
Here in the North Pole, we have a fireplace in every room. A cozy fireplace can warm up any room but not everyone has one. Here is a fun way to create one for yourself:
What you will need:
*Large Cardboard Box
*Scissors
*Large Rectangle Sponges
*Black Paint
*Red Paint (for bricks and flames- you may add other colors as well)
*Paint Brush
*Paper Towel Rolls
*Glue
Directions:
Find a large cardboard box and cut an opening in the one side for the fireplace. Using sponges, paint red bricks on the box, leaving space in between to be the mortar. Paint the inside black if you want. Paint flames on the inside back section of the box. Glue the paper towel rolls to stack up in the fireplace as logs. Decorate the top to look like a mantel using holiday garland and decor.
Enjoy your warm fireplace! Remember to share pictures with me if you succeed in creating a fireplace. – Ella the Elf
